Rights of Way in Yeohead & Castleton

There is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways in the parishes of Castleton, Goathill, Oborne and Poyntington.

Yeohead & Castleton Parish Council wish to acknowledge the work of Dorset County Council and other bodies in maintaining in good condition the network of paths etc. in Dorset, and especially in this part of the county.

Rights of Way These are rights of way –the public has the right to use these footpaths and bridleways.
Walks A number of walks and cycle and horse riding routes in the area are described in guidebooks which are available from the Tourist Information Centre in Sherborne and bookshops and from the Dorset Library. Additional information is also available from a number of websites.
Bridleways & Cycle Routes
Problems If there are problems with using these routes (e.g. the route is blocked by fallen branches, stiles are damaged or dangerous, crops growing across the route of the path), these should be reported to Dorset County Council.
