Choral concert by the Gaudeamus Chorale

  • Bath Abbey 7.30pm Thursday 21st August

  • Wells Cathedral 1.05pm Friday 22nd August

  • Sherborne Abbey 7.30pm Saturday 23rd August

The varied programme includes Vivaldi “Gloria” and the electrifying eight-part motet “Deus Qui Beatum Marcum” by  Gabrieli as well as works by Mozart, Lotti and others.

The Gaudeaumus Chorale from Hertfordshire has sung in the Royal Festival Hall and has been invited back this May (singing as part of the English Philharmonia Chorus) as part of the RFH choral festival. The choir regularly tours Europe and has sung in many of the great cathedrals. This year we are delighted that they have chosen to tour the West Country with more than 80 voices.
